FAQ

How much does a sworn translation cost?

For small documents, I charge a minimum fee of € 65. For larger documents, I charge an hourly rate of € 55.

There are errors in the source text. Can I get those corrected in the translation?

No, a sworn translation is a faithful reproduction of the original. Therefore, spelling and other errors should be reproduced in the translation.

I live in Belgium; can you help me with a sworn translation for Luxembourg?

Yes, I can translate and certify Dutch and French texts from all countries for the Luxembourg authorities.

Can you certify a translation made by someone else, or by AI?

No, I am only allowed to certify translations made by myself. That is how it is defined by law.

I need a certified translation for a country outside the EU

In many cases, a certified translation is not sufficient. Some countries also require legalisation or an apostille. The steps required vary per country and per document. Official information can be found at nederlandwereldwijd.nl. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to assist you.
